April 2007 Reynaers Aluminium Systems
have launched their new Eco-system range of windows and
doors and Solair are amongst the first fabricators to take
advantage of this thermally-enhanced suite of profiles .
Aluminium has long been known as a fully-recyclable
sustainable material and increased energy efficiency adds to

system now.
March 2007 Another welcome addition to
our product range has arrived in the shape of
high-performance composite doorsets. For total peace of
mind, these are certified to 'Secured by Design' standards
and are avilable in a range of designs and colours with
plain or decorative glazing options. Performance is assured
thanks to a triple-sealed 70mm uPVC outerframe coupled with
a 5-point locking system incorporating hooks and roller

February 2007 Mandatory air pressure
testing for new buildings is now upon us, adding to
the already considerable burden placed on site
management. We are delighted to report that, at a recent
seminar run by the Energy Saving Trust in conjunction with
Linden Homes South East, Solair windows were singled out for
praise after a random plot test as being 'amongst the best'
they have ever tested. We have always claimed to offer a
seriously high-performance window and are very please to
have had our claims further substantiated!
January 2007 As part of our policy of
continued product improvement, we are now able to offer
spray-foam insulation to all G.R.P. dormer roofs and bay
window canopy lids. We believe that this will speed up
progress on site as well as ensuring compliance with the
latest thermal requirements. Because all of our dormers are
supplied compete with an integral G.R.P. roof covering, they
are ready for boarding as soon as the window has been
installed, saving both time and money!
December 2006 Another year over and
many more milestones passed... We would like to take this
oportunity to thank all of our customers for their continued
support during 2006 and to wish you a Happy Christmas and
prosperous New Year. Our offices will close on Friday
December 22nd and reopen on Tuesday January 2nd, 2007. We

November 2006 In response to our
increased workload, we are delighted to announce the
appointment of Mark Brown who joins Solair as the Regional
Sales Manager for the M5 corridor. Mark has extensive
experience within the new-build uPVC market, having spent
time working for Munster Joinery, Abbott Joinery and, most
recently, K-ban. He has responsibility for all product
groups and would be very pleased to assist with any queries

October 2006 An update to our G.R.P.
AutoCAD CD is now available and includes additional standard
dormer designs. By specifying standard products, lead times
and cost are kept to a minimum allowing developers to
maximise the benefits of using pre-fabricated architectural

September 2006 Due to an increased
volume of uPVC and aluminium enquiries, we are pleased to
welcome Guy Turner to join Shaun Cullen and Andy Spooner in
our estimating team. Guy has picked up a wealth of
experience over the past three years during his previous
role as the Customer Services supervisor and is already
making an impact in reducing the turnaround time for issuing
quotations.
August 2006 Orders have been placed for
the first three phases of an 800 unit development at the
former Gloucester Trading Estate. This will utilise a mix of
casement and vertical sliding uPVC windows and doors.
July 2006 Solair have been selected to
manufacture, supply and fit aluminium glazing to a new
development of 80 apartments on the site of the former Royal
Nautical College in Stamford Street, SE1. This seven-storey
development will feature full-height facetted glass
rainscreens along with large areas of curtain walling and
aluminium windows and doors.
June 2006 We are pleased to announce
the opening of our new on-site paint shop which gives us the
ability to supply PVC products in a wide range of colours
with minimal additional cost and delay. Please contact our

May 2006 Solair have been awarded
contract for the supply and installation of aluminium
windows, shop-fronts and curtain walling to the prestigious
re-development of Daniels Department Store in Ealing. The
project will provide 150 apartments over five storeys along
with a large new retail unit to the ground floor.
